A pay stub, also known as a paycheck stub, is a document provided by an employer to an employee as confirmation that payment has been paid for services done. Pay stubs are sometimes known as pay slips, pay advice, and even check stubs. Employees are the major beneficiaries of paycheck stubs; they will learn more about their wage details and deductions.
Employers, on the other hand, will profit from having confirmation of accurate payment of their employees. A pay stub template is very useful for any business since it allows them to quickly produce a large number of pay stubs.
When it comes to paying their employees, many companies have abandoned the usage of paper paychecks. Many have chosen paperless payment methods such as direct deposit or prepaid debit cards to deliver funds directly to their workers' bank accounts.
For these firms, they are both cost-effective and time-saving. Furthermore, these paperless solutions are more secure; for example, payments made through direct deposits can be easily traced and hence are less likely to be stolen than those made on paper. It would also be more difficult to fake a direct deposit than it would be to falsify paper paycheck stubs.
Each prepaid debit card is given a unique pin. The goal is to limit the amount of persons who have access to the money by allowing only those with the right pin to view the pay stubs. As a result, the employees would be assured to be the only ones with access to the funds in each account.
Furthermore, an employee has the option of phoning and cancelling a stolen or lost debit card, and a replacement debit card will be given in a timely manner. This is more convenient than the stolen or lost paper paychecks, which must be marked with a stop indication and must wait a certain amount of time before a replacement one can be given.
But, with all of this in mind, you can't afford to ignore the paper paycheck entirely. Employers are required to furnish check stubs to their workers.
However, you need not be concerned because we provide check stub templates to help you streamline your employee compensation processes. These pay stub templates will assist an employer in quickly and simply creating pay stubs that can be printed.
This website provides two types of pay stub templates: one that is created in Microsoft Word and the other that is compatible with all word processing applications. The other is a template designed to be used with Microsoft Excel.
This template is compatible with all MS Word versions from 2003 to 2010, including 2003, 2007, and 2010. This site provides this design; however, you will need to replace the example logo in the header with your company's logo. You'll also need to change the example wording in the header to something that fits your company/business.
There are numerous tables in this template. The first table will provide a list of the various payment kinds' descriptions, hours and rates, totals, and year-to-date totals, such as regular, holiday, and overtime payments. The deductions for the current pay period, as well as the year-to-date totals, will be listed in the second column.
One can conduct certain computations with the assistance of these tables. For example, for the same row, the income column can be multiplied by the rate by hours. Fields must be changed in order to conduct these computations. The fields may be updated by hitting the F9 key, which is situated in the top column of your keyboard.
A summary of the current pay period as well as the year to date earnings will be shown in the column at the bottom of the page, which will include the amount that has been deposited in an employee's account.
